St Jude School, a Pre School through 8 Catholic School, is a community of faith and learning where dedicated teachers and caring parents work together to provide a quality education in the Roman Catholic tradition. We are committed to fostering academic excellence as well as guiding our students to serve God and others.

St. Jude School is a small community where each child is known as an individual and is a valuable asset to the school. A small teacher-student ratio allows us to provide more personalized instruction to our children.

We are fully accredited by the State of Connecticut and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Our program includes Religion, Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Music, Physical Education, Art, Computer Science, Library Skills, and Spanish (grades 6- 8).

The students attending our school consistently score high on standardized tests. We have a high success rate, which can be seen in the strength of the achievements of our students in high school and college.

We have a dedicated, loving, caring, and supportive team of certified teachers who assist our students in maximizing their potential. All of our full time teachers have Master’s Degrees and are Connecticut State certified. Our faculty also includes a resource teacher, two reading specialists, an ESL teacher, classroom aides, a school psychologist, a speech and language clinician, and a full time nurse. I am proud to say that our teachers are always willing to go that extra mile for our students.

St Jude School provides programs in character education, which includes the many facets of good character like honesty, making positive choices, acting with honor, and valuing a good reputation. These programs assist us in developing good citizenship amongst the children of our school as they prepare for the future.

Our extracurricular activities include Odyssey of the Mind, Literature Club, Student Council, Liturgical Dance, and ArtSmart. We continue to have a superb athletic program with volunteer coaches dedicated to teaching skills and developing sportsmanship in our athletes.

Since we believe that parents are partners in the education of their children, we provide and encourage volunteerism at our school. We have an active Home and School Association that works hard to raise money to meet our assessment and to provide for the educational enhancement of our school.
