My classroom goal is to improve our skills as independent learners and to promote interest in life-long learning. I want to share with my students my love for mathematics and to show them how math is an integral part of their lives. I work with students to live the Christian values taught throughout the school. During sixth grade in math we study number theory, beginning algebra and geometry. In science, the students are exposed to an inquiry based unit on variables, learn more about physical science and study space. The language arts program focuses instruction on reading for meaning in the content area as well as exploring many fiction stories. Sixth grade students start switching classes for Spanish, English, Religion and Social Studies.
