I have been a school nurse for 31 years in the Trumbull/Monroe public school system
and full time at St. Jude School since 2001.

As school nurse I oversee the health needs of the school community by administering direct care(first aid, health assessments, medication administering etc.) and act as liason
and resource for parents/teachers/students emotional, mental and physical well being.

I provide health counceling and programs for chronic illness, nutrition, hygiene, disease protection safety, allergies, asthma, and puberty, childhood growth and development.  Annually all students K-8 are screened for vision and hearing and 5 – 8 for Scoliosis.

Collecting and assessing medical information and maintaining adequate record, physicals and immunizations as required by state and local policies are all part of the school nurses job. Any parent with health concerns or questions please feel free to contact me 8:00 – 1:00 Monday thru Friday
