Hello! My name is Jennifer Wrenn, and I am the fourth grade teacher at St. Jude School. I am married, and have two children, Alexandra and Joseph.

In fourth grade, we will work on strengthening the basic skills students have already acquired in language arts, math, social studies, and science. Students learn literature skills and practice listening and speaking skills. We will write in a variety of genres, including narrative and expository. We will focus on using the entire writing process from choosing a topic, writing a rough draft, revising, proofreading, editing, and publishing. Fourth graders work on computation and problem solving skills in math, and also do activities designed to foster algebraic thinking. In social studies, we will focus on the United States. We also explore a variety of topics in health, life, physical, and earth science.

Students should expect 30-40 minutes of homework per night in fourth grade.

A good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort among child, parent, and teacher. I am always available for a mutually convenient conference. I look forward to a productive, creative, and enjoyable year in fourth grade.
