Our History

St. Jude School was founded and built in 1962 as St. Stephen School, staffed by the School Sisters of Notre Dame.  In 1974, coinciding with the founding of St. Jude Parish, the name was changed to St. Jude School.  Then, in 1976, St. Jude School was staffed by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.  Today, St. Jude School has an all-lay faculty enrolling approximately 200 students from neighboring towns of Monroe, Shelton, Easton, Trumbull, Oxford, Newtown, and Seymour among others.
